August 30, 2025- The Prime Minister of the The Republic of Uganda, Robina Nabanja, visited Liaoshen Industrial Park in Uganda and made a fruitful inspection visit. The Premier focused on visiting three Chinese enterprises representing the achievements of China Ukraine production capacity cooperation in the park, namely Jucheng Footwear, Gokta Professional Clothing, and Wangkang Ceramics. The Premier highly praised the achievements of China Ukraine cooperation and emphasized the benefits that China's technology manufacturing industry has brought to Uganda. He stated that Liaoshen Industrial Park has become an important engine for Uganda's industrialization process, injecting new vitality into the local economy and social development. During the inspection, the Premier went deep into the production line, carefully observed the production process of various enterprises, and had cordial exchanges with the management and local employees of the enterprises. In front of the modern shoe-making production line of Jucheng Footwear, she inquired in detail about the market sales, localized procurement, and job creation of the products. When he learned that the company not only provided a large number of job opportunities for the local area, but also actively trained Ugandan employees to master professional skills, the Prime Minister nodded repeatedly in approval.
The Prime Minister of Gokta Professional Clothing has shown a strong interest in the various types of workwear and uniforms produced by the company, as well as its large-scale production capacity. She praised the company for contributing to the improvement of Uganda's local industrialization level, employment rate, and professional dress standards.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister visited the large-scale production workshop of Wangkang Ceramics. She fully affirmed the industrial upgrading effect brought by China's ceramic manufacturing technology after seeing the entire process of using local raw materials and processing them into exquisite ceramic tiles through advanced technology. She believed that this not only meets the domestic market demand in Uganda, but also has a positive significance in promoting export earnings.
After visiting, the Prime Minister told major Ugandan media, "What we see today is not just a few factories, but also hope and an example in Uganda's industrialization process. The arrival of Chinese enterprises has brought advanced technology, management experience, and channels to the international market, creating valuable employment opportunities for our young people, cultivating industrial workers, and truly bringing tangible 'benefits' and development momentum to our country. This is exactly the investment and cooperation that Uganda needs
After the inspection, the Premier attended the Liaoshen Industrial Park Exhibition and Sales Fair. 32 companies from the park gathered their exhibition booths on site, attracting thousands of people to participate. The Premier paused in front of the exhibition booth for a long time, carefully watching the innovative products displayed by various enterprises and having cordial exchanges with their representatives. The exhibition site was crowded with people rushing to purchase "Made in Uganda" products at a reasonable price, creating a lively scene. The Prime Minister stated, "This exhibition not only showcases the fruitful achievements of China Ukraine cooperation, but also allows the people of Uganda to truly feel the benefits brought by industrialization
The Prime Minister emphasized in his concluding speech that the success of Liaoshen Industrial Park proves that China Ukraine cooperation is a model of mutual benefit and win-win. The combination of Chinese technology and management experience with Ugandan resources and markets has released enormous potential. We look forward to more Chinese enterprises investing in Uganda to jointly promote the achievement of the '2040 Vision Plan' goals. She revealed that the Ukrainian government will further optimize the investment environment, provide policy support and security guarantees for the industrial park, and ensure the continuous deepening of China Ukraine cooperation.
This inspection demonstrates the high importance that the Ugandan government attaches to cooperation between China and Ukraine, and injects confidence into the future development of Liaoshen Industrial Park and the enterprises entering the park. With the implementation of more projects, Liaoshen Industrial Park will continue to write a new chapter of "Chinese technology supporting African development" and make greater contributions to Uganda's economic takeoff and improvement of people's livelihoods.
This visit has effectively demonstrated the fruitful achievements and enormous potential of China Ukraine economic and trade cooperation, especially in the field of manufacturing. As an important platform for China Ukraine cooperation, Liaoshen Industrial Park is continuously injecting strong impetus into Uganda's industrialization process and economic and social development.
